but disproportionately punished to an unintentional crime

I hardly now believe they were

I twisted an ankle when I leapt that day,
The leap in itself, I though would convey
But if this mans simple words fell on deaf ears
Then just nod your head, do away with fears

I reluctantly wrote a passage in a book dismissed
Found a raven’s nest, befriended the mist…

It's just you and I my friend
And my clothes don't fit me no more
I walked a thousand miles
just to slip this skin...

Wheres the promised land, if I may be so bold
Just because she glitters, doesn’t mean you’ve hit gold

and you speak with an air of finality, my dearest friend… beware

pegging one’s hopes to something as ethereal as air?
I’m convinced that with numbers and patterns I’ve lost my soul
That time shall take its toll, that embers shall burn with coal
And that years from today, a shrug of the shoulders and the past aside
