fool

She said:
“Such a typical setting, such typical words
My eyes shine like rubies, or haven’t you heard?
I’m one in a million, and I’m avoiding clichés,
I’m the sea, I’m the sun, I’m the tree when it sways.”

He said:
“If these typical words shan’t suffice, I have more
I have verse upon verse, I have sonnets galore
And that one in a million, by my side, in the night,
For surely, there is something, that I have done right.”

She said:
“The setting is fine, with these pavements aglow
The bright yellow lamp light, and the verses, they flow
I am flattered and pleased, but swooned I am not.
I have admirers in hundreds, go stand with the lot”

He said:
“I have spoken my words, they were reckless, I think
But this hypocrite stopped lying, told the truth in a blink
And you cast me away, with your angelic smile,
Unbecoming of an angel to do something that vile.”
